As we decided to go to the Great Barrier Reef as long as it is there, I had to be able to make underwater pictures. So I bought some kind of underwater sack at the local photo shop and trusted my Nikon D810 and Laowa 15mm lens to this plastic bag and spend a couple of hours at the Great Barrier Reef at three spots that have not been bleached. I am lucky to have seen it before it all will be gone.
It is so sad to know most of the reef is already dead. Coral reefs are the greatest biodiversity in sea. To know the greatest of them all is almost gone is the saddest thing yet we achieved by climate change so far. I have made a survey on dead coral as well and I present hereby a short film on the devastation as well.
